Sri KDU International Secondary School

PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER 

Job description:

  • Implement the Physical Education programmes of the International Secondary School
  • Prepare lesson plans and curricular materials including planning and implementation of Assessment for Learning 
  • Teach Physical Education classes as designated
  • Coaching in Netball
  • Monitor the performance of students through Assessments and keep relevant records of progress 
  • Assist in implementing the co-curricular activities of the International School

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science / a related discipline / Diploma holders would be considered
  • Coaching qualifications in Netball / experience in coaching Netball would be an advantage
  • At least 3 years and above of teaching experience in Physical Education in a British Curriculum School
  • An all-round sportsperson
  • Excellent communication and presentation skill

BAHASA MALAYSIA TEACHER 

Job description:

  • Implement the Bahasa Malaysia programmes of the International Secondary School
  • Prepare lesson plans and curricular materials including planning and implementation of Assessment for Learning
  • Teach Bahasa Malaysia classes as designated 
  • Monitor the performance of students through assessments and keep relevant records of progress
  • Assist in implementing the co-curricular activities of the School 
  • Perform relevant duties of a form tutor

Requirements:

  • Candidates with at least a Bachelor’s degree in Malay Language / a related discipline
  • At least 3 years and above of teaching experience in Bahasa Malaysia in a British Curriculum School
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

MANDARIN TEACHER / HEAD OF SUBJECT (Required for August 2018)

Job description:

  • Responsible for the efficient running, development and performance of the department
  • Support all members of the Mandarin department and ensure effective teaching and learning
  • Implement the academic programmes of the International Secondary School
  • Prepare lesson plans and curricular materials including planning and implementation of Assessment for Learning
  • Teach Mandarin classes at KS3 and KS4 levels 
  • Monitor the performance of students through assessments and keep relevant records of progress
  • Assist in implementing the co-curricular activities of the School 
  • Perform relevant duties of a form tutor

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese Studies / Chinese Language or a related field
  • At least 5 years of work experience in a high quality international school
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Job description:

  • Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and EAL (English as an Additional Language) across the curriculum in Key Stage 3 and 4 of the National Curriculum of England
  • To work with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to inform on the writing of ILPs (Individual Learning Plans)
  • To be able to help implement the strategies listed in the ILPs and support students accordingly
  • To adapt teaching materials used in the lessons when necessary
  • To motivate and encourage students
  • Assist with marking and correcting work on a one to one basis
  • Attend meetings and reviews when necessary
  • To uphold school discipline and regulations as appropriate and to foster and promote equal opportunities in practice
  • Undertake any other duties consistent with the key responsibilities and duties of the post, as directed by the Principal / SENCO

Requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma Graduates in any field
  • Good interpersonal skills with strong command in spoken and written English
  • Some work experience of SEN (Special Education Needs) is an advantage
  • Enthusiasm and adaptability
  • An empathetic nature and positive outlook
