Inspirational ex-Malaysian badminton player visits SKIPS
Jean Moey is a Malaysian badminton player and was one of the top national women players during the 1970's. She played in the Ubercup, Asean cup for both single and double and won several titles. She started her journey in sports and curriculum when she was 12 years old and climbed from representing the school into the national team.
Within her speech she stressed the value of the passion, love and discipline of the sport in order to succeed. She also commented on the different competitions that children can get involved in.
Jean Moey is now 78 years old and still actively playing badminton. She is very inspirational and left the children with the words of Pierre de Coubertin, “The important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle, the essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.”
